leptonica-progs software package provides sample programs for Leptonica image processing library, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install leptonica-progs
leptonica-progs is installed in your system.
Make ensure the leptonica-progs package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep leptonica-progs *
You will get with leptonica-progs package name, version, architecture and description in a table
